Apple has become a fad. It has a fan following who have a compulsive need to buy apple products. I have met people who have 2 ipods, an iphone, 2 macbooks, and 1 iMac and to top it all, they don’t listen to music too much. Thats the following of Apple. No wonder they are super successful.

The tablet launch will position itself as a single point of media consumption. Especially, ebooks are the focus of the plan. With the pricing power back into the hands of the Publishers, it will lock horns with Amazon – Kindle.

What is interesting to watch is not how stunning the Tablet will be; rather how significant a business move this will be. Will the publishing industry finally go full throttle on the Internet ?

Couldn’t agree more with your thought about Steve Jobs. But I always wonder what is going to happen after Steve Jobs.. They should come up with next generation of leaders, who can keep the growth rate intact..

And yes, eagerly looking forward to iPad release..
