According to Wikipedia “Strategy is a plan of action designed to achieve a particular goal”

Everyday managers around the world face the same problem of formulating the optimal strategy for their company. Each company has certain goals or visions like we call them in management jargon. The management is expected to find the optimal strategy that should provide the highest probability of achieving the goals suited to the risk appetite of the investor. We can probably write a mathematical function explaining this principal.

But a natural question to ask is, why is management paid so much money? Is formulating this strategy really so difficult? Is a goal oriented action plan so hard to design? Well we obviously don’t know all the answers to these.

As a group of students from the premier institutes of India we will try to define strategy of various firms as we see them. We will try and discuss various topics under the sun. Hopefully you will enjoy our blog and also contribute to it through comments and guest posts!
